Born Rena Gregoriadès in Athens (28 May 1937); founded Rena Dumas Architecture Intérieure (RDAI) in Paris in 1972. Designed her first Hermès boutique in 1976 and went on to shape almost 300 more, including the New York Madison Avenue flagship and the Tokyo Ginza Maison Hermès (with Renzo Piano, 2001). Wife of Jean-Louis Dumas; mother of Pierre-Alexis Dumas. Died in Paris, 27 April 2009.
