Site-specific project for dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel, 9 June to 16 September 2012, in which Theaster Gates partly restored the early-19th-century Huguenot House using materials and labour exchanged with a derelict building on Chicago’s South Side; the three-story house hosted performances by the Black Monks of Mississippi and lodged the build team.
