Eighteenth-century Venetian palazzo on the Grand Canal at Campo San Samuele, designed by Giorgio Massari and completed 1772. Acquired by Francois Pinault in May 2005 for around 29 million EUR; Tadao Ando renovation reopened April 2006 with roughly 5,000 m2 of exhibition floor across 40 rooms and Ando’s signature exposed concrete inside the preserved historic shell. The 225-seat Teatrino auditorium was added in 2013.
