London luxury house founded 2001 as a 50/50 joint venture between Stella McCartney and Gucci Group (later Kering). McCartney bought back Kering’s 50% in March 2018, sold a minority to LVMH July 2019, and repurchased the LVMH stake on 27 January 2025 — returning the brand to full independence while McCartney continued as LVMH’s global sustainability ambassador.
