Designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll between 1955 and 1956 to “clear up the slum of legs” beneath chairs and tables, the Pedestal Group collapses leg structure into a single Rilsan-coated cast-aluminium stem supporting a moulded fibreglass shell.
